It is finally done! Months in the making, the website and blog are complete! Talk about a load off my shoulders and just in time as the wedding season gets into full swing. I have wanted to freshen up my look, as my tastes have evolved a bit, and also expand on my Inkwell collection.
I now have a new logo and a clean, concise and to-the-point website. I created the design and layout and Postmortal Design (who are fab by the way) did all of the coding for me. What I am most excited about is the online ordering capabilities for the Inkwell collection. In an effort to simplify the process, this is the direction I had to go in. For those of you that are not familiar with Inkwell, it is a line of semi-custom, ready-made invitations, that you can now order directly on line! They are designed for the client that does not have the time for the custom process. The bride that just doesn’t care that much about invitations (I don’t see why you wouldn’t)
but knows that they are a necessity, and for the bride that doesn’t want to break the bank.
This year, I really tried to offer a wide variety of Inkwell designs. From the formal and traditional styles to Hindu themed and unique and quirky. All invitation sets include the invitation, two detail cards of your choosing and mailing envelopes. New to each design is the addition of a timeline card. This card can take the place of your reception card and it has the fun graphics for the events of the day, and is a good way to add that personal side to your invitations. I also offer envelope liners and custom stamps for each design. You can also choose between matte cardstock a shimmer cardstock and your ink colors.
There are a lot of ready-made collections out there, but I am trying to do something a little different. After getting quite a positive response from my Save the Date Represent Your State announcements, I thought that would be a great item to include in the collection. For now, I have two state/city specific invitations for Michigan, since this is my home base and we never get any love when it comes to things like this.
Look for this to expand into other states in the coming months, and if your state never gets any love either, let me know and I will create one for it! All of these will have save the date options, so be sure to inquire if you are interested.
Stay tuned this week as I plan to feature some of these new inkwell designs on the blog. I hope you enjoy the site and blog. I would love to hear your thoughts and if you see anything funky looking, let me know! I am sure there are some quirks to be worked out with various browsers out there.
